Why is it always the laundry? I remember that our New York apartment with its basement machines really took some getting used to. And you are so right about the sparkle of routine life when you’re new to a place. I definitely have morning bakery routine envy now 😊
Laundry…In Europe I learnt to always buy good quality cottons - cheap cotton shrinks. I think my laundry was boiled:). The machines wash much better there.
Oh, and I love the smell of the bakeries…
And don’t get me started on stationary stores! Enjoy exploring!
I remember the laundry confusion so well- Pflegeleicht was a particularly anxiety-inducing option on the dial. The irony that easy care scared me the most. And the bakeries... magic!
